เว็บไซต์ Metro รายงานว่า เครื่องบินส่วนตัวของ "คริสเตียโน่ โรนัลโด" มูลค่า 15 ล้านยูโร ได้ลงจอดกระแทกพื้นอย่างแรง ในสนามบิน El Prat เมืองบาร์เซโลนา โดยแรงกระแทกดังกล่าวยังส่งผลให้ เกียร์ของเครื่องบินนั้นพังเสียหาย ในขณะเดียวกันบริเวณรอบๆตัวเครื่องบิน ก็ยังได้รับความเสียหายอีกด้วย
โชคยังดีที่ โรนัลโด้ ไม่ได้โดยสารมาในเครื่องบินลำดังกล่าวด้วย โดยเหตุการณ์ในครั้งนี้ ส่งผลให้มีเพียง คนขับเครื่องบิน ได้รับบาดเจ็บเพียงเล็กน้อยเท่านั้น ส่วนลูกเรือคนอื่นๆ ปลอดภัย
ทั้งนี้ เครื่องบินส่วนตัวของโรนัลโด้ลำดังกล่าว เขาซื้อมาเมื่อปีที่แล้ว และก็มีการปล่อยให้เช่าด้วย โดยมีบริษัทที่เข้ามาบริหารจัดการคือ Ballon d'Or

Cristiano Ronaldo’s £15 million plane has crashed in Barcelona after landing gear broke away on impact.
Hitting the El Prat runway in Spain on Monday, the expensive jet’s undercarriage was left scratched and damaged.
On impact it skidded off of the tarmac and came to a halt on the grass.
Emergency services immediately sped to the scene.
The pilot of the Gulfstream G200 suffered minor injuries but others were left unharmed.
Ronaldo was not on the plane at the time of the incident.
He purchased the aircraft last year, however often leases it out to private clients – which was the case on Monday.
Sources close to the Ballon d’Or favourite told MirrorFootball: ‘The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them.
‘Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane. The incident had no major consequences.’
